What is the schedule?
The event will last approx two and a half hours. 7pm registration. 7.15pm (sharp) introduction and start. 10 minute break in the middle, then the second half, wrapping up around 9.30pm, raffle results and the option to go for a drink across the road.
How will it work?
When you arrive you will be greeted and can order a complimentary drink. When everyone has arrived, you will be asked to sit down at an assigned seat and there will be a date book for each person. Everything will be explained on the night but in brief, each date will last 3 minutes and there will be 20 women in total with a sequence so you get to meet everyone. There will also be “icebreaker” cards with questions placed between you to help you learn more about each other and keep the conversation fun and interesting.
How do we match?
Within 24hrs of the speed dating event you will receive a text with the names and phone numbers of the women you have matched with. There is also be a friendship option for those who don’t get a heart match.
Will I be asked to prove my age?
No, and we would never ask a woman her age. Each event has a targeted age group but if you are a few years younger, or older, you are very welcome to attend.
Etiquette?
Participants are asked to arrive on time, stay for the entire duration of the event and take part in each speed date. Be kind, be respectful and keep the conversation lighthearted. For the duration of the event, phones should be on silent and put away so you can enjoy a fully social, immersive experience.
Tickets?
Tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite. Once you purchase a ticket, you will receive an email with further details. Partial refunds will be assessed on a case-by-case basis but within 7 days of the event, refunds can be refused.
Privacy
No one will be able to see into the restaurant to allow for a more private experience. There may be photos and filming at this event for use in promotional materials but if you do not want your image to be used, please let us know in advance and your privacy will be respected.
Drinks and food?
You will be offered a complimentary drink of wine, beer or a non-alcoholic beverage at the start. There will also be a small ‘bite’ at the break.

Queen of Hearts will take place in Richmond restaurant, Portobello, Dublin 2. Its comfortable atmosphere makes Richmond the ideal setting for a speed dating event.
Richmond has been awarded a Michelin Bib for eight years running so on nights when it’s open as a restaurant this is the place to be. Maybe you’ll meet someone at Queen of Hearts and come back here for dinner to celebrate where you first met!
